Mr. Martinez moved to East Texas from Southern California in 2007. He obtained his Bachelor or Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach. He then started working in public accounting, ensuring his clients met federal and state legal requirements, and providing business and tax consulting to clients across a variety of industries .

Mr. Martinez lives in Tyler, TX with his wife Norma Martinez. Mr. Juan is the founder, president, and CEO of Martinez, CPA Corp., a business and tax consulting firm that he established in 2009 with the support of his wife, parents, and friends. Mr. Juan’s main focus is to provide small and medium-sized business owners with the necessary tools and knowledge to make their businesses thrive in an ever-changing environment, where knowledge is vital to ensure success.

Mr. Martinez has a passion for his community and for that reason has served at various boards, including Texas Workforce Commission, Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, Total Healthcare Clinic, Better Business Bureau, and most recently at Cadence Bank Community Advisory Committee, and as a board member of Grace Community Church. Juan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a member of California Society of CPAs, and a member of Texas Society of CPAs. 

Apart from being a business and tax consultant, Juan has taught Business Formation, Accounting and Taxes at Tyler Junior College, UT Tyler, Pathways for Adults Via Education (PAVE East Texas), and at Tyler Hispanic Business Alliance. In his free time, Juan enjoys watching movies with his family, playing guitar, swimming, and is a member of the Grace Community En Espanol band.
